Network Audio, in simple terms, is the transporting of digital audio signals via LAN or WAN over an IP network/the internet. We had an insightful session on Network Audio with Urmil Vaidya. He discussed various kinds of interfaces and various audio network protocols used by different applications like Dante, Cobra net, Ether sound, etc. He also mentioned a wide range of advantages the network audio has if used in your desired setup.

Soundideaz Students were taken on a study tour at Palm Expo 2022 along with our faculties. The students got to know different technicalities and workings of various consoles, various types of microphones, and networking, from brands like Shure, SSL, Waves, MIDAS, and many more. They also attend the seminars and Live arena concerts conducted by professionals in the industry.

Microphones are an essential part of any audio recording system. Microphone placement alone contributes to around 20% of the overall sound. Yesterday our students had their practical session with Amrut Mahajan sir on Microphone Demo.
The students explored various stereo Mic techniques like MS, NOS, ORTF etc. with different microphones like Dynamic mic- SM 58 and Condenser mic – AKG C414.

Today, we had Azhar Shaikh with us for this month’s Dialogue session at SIA.
We had a very insightful discussion with him regarding his journey from Soundideaz Academy.
He mentioned how people skills learned from the PD Lectures helped him achieve his career goals while working in the Live industry. He also explained the importance of sending a correct Tech rider made as per the need of the Live show. He highlighted the importance of listening to various genres of music, which helps a lot while working as a freelance Live Sound Engineer.
